Metallic Rouge English Dub: Release Date, Cast, and More

The popular anime series Metallic Rouge is getting an English dub, and fans won’t have to wait long to watch it. The official website for the series announced that the English dub will premiere on the same day as the Japanese broadcast, starting from January 15, 2024.

The English dub cast and crew were also revealed, featuring some familiar names from the anime industry. The main cast includes Erica Mendez as Rouge, the leader of the rebel group that fights against the oppressive regime of the Metallic Empire; Johnny Yong Bosch as Chrome, Rouge’s childhood friend and loyal partner; Cristina Vee as Coral, a mysterious girl who joins Rouge’s group and has a hidden power; and Patrick Seitz as Iron, the ruthless commander of the Metallic Empire’s army who pursues Rouge and her allies.

The English dub is directed by Alex von David, who has worked on several anime titles such as Sword Art Online, Kill la Kill, and The Promised Neverland. The script is written by Josh Grelle, who is also a voice actor known for his roles in Attack on Titan, My Hero Academia, and Yuri!!! on Ice. The ADR engineer is Anthony Tortorici, who has also worked on Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba, Fire Force, and Dr. Stone.

Metallic Rouge is based on a manga series by Yuki Kuroda, which has been serialized in Shonen Jump magazine since 2021. The anime adaptation is produced by Studio Trigger, the acclaimed studio behind Gurren Lagann, Darling in the Franxx, and SSSS.Gridman. The anime director is Hiroyuki Imaishi, who is also the co-founder of Studio Trigger and the director of Gurren Lagann and Kill la Kill. The music is composed by Hiroyuki Sawano, who is known for his epic and powerful scores for Attack on Titan, Aldnoah.Zero, and Re:Creators.

Metallic Rouge is a sci-fi action series that follows the adventures of Rouge and her friends, who live in a world where metal is the most precious resource and the source of a mysterious energy called Metallica. The Metallic Empire, led by the tyrannical Emperor Gold, controls most of the metal and oppresses the people who live in the Rust Zone, a barren wasteland where metal is scarce. Rouge and her group use their own Metallica abilities to fight against the empire and seek the legendary Metallic Garden, a place where metal and nature coexist in harmony.

The English dub of Metallic Rouge will be available on Funimation, Crunchyroll, and Hulu, as well as on Toonami, the anime programming block on Adult Swim. The Japanese broadcast will air on Tokyo MX, BS11, and MBS. The series is expected to have 24 episodes, with the first 12 episodes airing in the winter 2024 season and the second 12 episodes airing in the spring 2024 season.
